The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back.   The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

Kookaburras are common around Australia and are probably best known for their distinct raucous call which sounds very much like human laughter. Although they are members of the kingfisher family, they are quite large and appear to be afraid of very little. This one wasn't particularly worried about getting his photo taken. I took the photo near Echuca in Victoria, Australia.

I was about ten when I was given a Kodak Brownie Box Camera and I've enjoyed taking photos ever since. Mainly landscapes and wildlife -- I'm constantly amazed at the beauty of Creation. I spent my early years as a photo-journalist and earned extra income through wedding photography, but my greatest enthusiasm is for natural scenes. Although there are many photo opportunities in cities, my wife and I both enjoy getting away from the clutter of urban living and camping under the stars. Photographs not only capture precious memories, they also capture engaging feelings, exquisite beauty and intricate design.
